Capa participates in the Tribute to Bahamontes
Capa Esculturas, Javier Molina Gil (Sculptor) and Fundación Soliss work together on Don Federico Bahamontes sculpture, which was released on May 6, 2018.
The statue, which is installed on Miradero de Toledo and has 1,90 m high, reproduces the cyclist known as “The eagle of Toledo”, first Spanish winner on Tour of France in 1959.
In the early morning of July 28, 2019 a vandalism happened, which affected the sculpture of the historic cyclist.
Toledo council, together with Fundacion Soliss, urgently requested Capa to repair the statue due to the event of the Spanish Cycling Tour that took place on September 13, just when Federico Martin Bahamontes got the triumph in the Tour of France 60 years ago.
The commitment of Capa was total with all the entities and we made the total restoration and installation at the required times.
